Chants to read, hear and learn With the dwindling of the Gurukula tradition where students learn by the oral method, the need for a new approach became imperative that led us to develop the system of “Chants to read, hear and learn”. The aspirant is given a book to read from , an audio cassette to hear from, and gaps in between recitations to repeat and learn from the cassette. This method is very successful in teaching busy people to chant, quickly and easily. Chants available currently include Tiruppavai, Koyil Tiruvaimoli and other Nityanusandhanam works from Divya Prabhandam (Tamil), Vishnu Sahasranamam, Purusha Suktam, Sankshepa Ramayanam, Mantra Pushpam etc., (Sanskrit). Other works, notably Sri Vedanta Desika’s stotras are in preparation. |
